Gantry Cranes

Single girder or double girder overhead cranes can be also produced as full gantry cranes or half gantry cranes.

In full models, the traveling groups of cranes move on rails laid on the ground, while in half models only one of the heading groups travels on the ground.

In portal cranes, extensions called portafolo can also be made on one or both sides of the travel axis. It is important to balance the foot weights in cranes with portafolo.
